I don’t know if the trend is from America or it’s Aussie. We see women walking around in what has been called “Distressed Denim”. It has holes in various parts of the, from the high to low ends of the legs. Knees exposed as with parts of thighs etc.
I believe they pay high prices for this “Fashion Item”, ???? What’s the world coming to??
I was sent a video clip of a very shapely woman walking towards camera, opened her jacket to display her very shapely bust, clothed of course, but as she walked past, her complete butt cheeks were exposed.
And very shapely it was. A very attractive lady, I guess setting another trend in Denim fashion.
I’d love to share but it’s a vid clip.

Similar to the 80's movie "So Fine".

I watched a TV show about denim. A town in France named Nimes combined different color threads to produce what we now call denim. Why "denim"?

"Nîmes is historically known for its textiles. Denim, the fabric of blue jeans, derives its name from this city (Serge de Nîmes)." "de Nimes" became "denim."

Real men do not care, they are self confident in anything.

He used it to make the tough pants that the California miner wanted. People search for denim pants in the ruins of mines, and they can sell for $1,000, depending on the style.

I thought that Levi Strauss used a canvas for his work pants. They were not called denims or jeans. They were utilitarian "work pants".

Guys wear those torn and excessively worn denim pants also. I'd much rather see them with a few holes, except for the buttocks, than the ones who wear them down below their butt and showing their under shorts.

In the 50's, Levis were not sanforized. The girls would buy a tight pair, put them on and sit in the bathtub until they were well soaked. They would get out and let them dry on for a tight, form fit. Yep, they were. . . .

From their invention until the 50's, jeans were a dark navy blue, like much clothing, because indigo was the cheapest dye available. Then someone had the idea to use blue threads in one direction and white threads in the other, it gave it the soft blue we know today, which made them suddenly popular. At the same time, cheap cloth dyes in a wide range of colors were invented.

And the rather staid 50's gave way to the psychedelic '60's.....
