Great, interested in the info as well. Will this be around for a few days or was it a one off known to the Astronomy field.

Thanks, I have never seen the moon between the two before. It has always been to either the left or to the right, so when I saw them last night I just had to take a shot.

I am sure that one would be able to see it for a while, Though with the full moon it might make it a bit harder to see Saturn. I took this image about 11pm PST

The problem will be to shoot the full moon and not to blow it out while being about to get the two planets at the same time.

Looks like Io is peeking out from behind Jupiter.

That configuration is transitory. Jupiter and Saturn will be there for a while, but the Moon moves about 13 degrees every day and won't be there.

Nice capture! I could see Jupiter's moons in the DD, but wasn't able to see Saturn's rings.

Is that one photo or a composite of two or more? I don’t think I could get an exposure that allowed all three to be exposed properly in a single shot. Heck, I’d be pleased as punch if I could get Saturn and Jupiter exposed as well as you did without a moon complicating the issue.
