The "people" have ruined a lot. And they're not through.
Just now received box of on-ice meals from Freshly. Fed Ex dumped it on porch without ringing bell. Had I not been in my office beside the porch I would have not heard the THUMP. I was expecting the delivery and was keeping an eye out, but delivery guy did not know that.
USPS lost a very large check that I sent by Priority Mail. Fortunately I was able to stop payment. I sent the replacement check via UPS and it arrived right at the beginning of the delivery window that they gave me. Tracking with USPS is a bear. Tracking with UPS is very simple. You Google the tracking number, nothing else, then click on "Track UPS package" and get the latest tracking info.

last Friday at 12"05" pm I mailed a check to a company in LA, as of this afternoon it still has not arrived!
With the history of your local delivery being inefficient, I would drive the 90 miles and pick up the purchase.
Seems that some things are undeliverable during these crazy times. I have to admit that everything I have ordered came undamaged and reasonably on time. The only one to ring the doorbell to tell me there is something there is the USPS. So for now, they are running ahead of the other two.
