This vixen visits my back yard every day looking for offerings of varmints I have left for her and the pups. Nothing goes to waste around here

A total of four good shots.
I would eat the squirrels myself.
In a potpie, mmmm.

Thanks! I'd eat them too, but in the fall. And she needed them more than me with five mouths to feed.
Nice set. Tree rats make good meals for birds and other mammals.

Hi kpmac. Thanks! Up in this neck of the woods we call them Bushy tailed rats. ;-)
These are nice interesting shots. People may call them tree rats but when I was younger squirrel hunting was my favorite thing to do. That was before I started dating.😁 I have killed and eaten many of them.
Nice to see ! - and they are very good eating.......

Great shots. Can I rent her from you? I've got enough chipmunks to feed all of her kits. Gary

Thanks JRiepe. When I was a youngster on the farm I used to hunt all day in the fall for squirrels, never getting even close to the eight squirrel bag limit. That was on about 400 acres. Now that I have 12 acres I have more squirrels than I know what to do with! So I share them.

Indeed! I once had a friend make them into a stew using Cajun seasoning in the gravy. Outstanding. Of course he couldn't remember exactly how he made it so it was a one-shot deal.
