Can’t get away from it.
Sadly Bruce’s politics has split his fan base. Blue collar Americans have issues with him, especially the New York Police Department. The NYPD Union President had real issues with him. It got pretty bad, and rightfully so.
I know the guy, I photographed him in the 1970’s. He took a very sharp liberal turn however in the early 1980’s. But at least he hasn’t gone far Left. He worked for what he’s got. Generally a good guy.

From what I understand he reported for draft as order but failed his physical due to bad legs from a motorcycle accident. never got over it. Admits to not wanting to go but faked nothing

Doesn’t need the cops and firemen he pissed-off so much? No he doesn’t. But THAT side of his base, well, it’s not really important anymore. What was done is done. The fact remains he hurt a lot of people. But art does that sometimes.
