I was searching for an L bracket I saw on a video that I would use on my OMD E M1 Mark iii. After finding the product on their website I went to the chat room. After several Q and A the tech asked if I would like to go to the new video chat feature. I was transferred to the in-store sales counter talking with a gent named Stephen (excellent) on a live video discussion. He retrieved the bracket and did a live demo on the camera using the product in question. Saved a trip into NYC or playing Mr. Postman if it didn’t fit as hoped. Bought the bracket and it works great. Less than half the cost of RRS.

Thanks for that info and the post. I love "chats" and do quite a bit of them at B & H. A video chat sounds fabulous!

B&H has a disappearing act. You walk into the greatest store in the world> When you walk out, all of your money will have disappeared.

Yeah, it is true...but what a way to go!!!!
Maybe we could change the old saying to, “He who dies with the most toys, has been to B&H.”
i used to make all most all my purchases of my photographic equipments with B&H. but i recently had a very bad experience.i ordered a fuji macro lens. in the first time, they sent me a faulty one and when i called, i was told to return the lens and that in exchange, they would send me another one and i was assured that the exchange lens will have no issues. But that turned out to be wrong.the problem was that in both of those lens ,i was unable to change the aperture or auto or manual focus. i can understand that the initial purchase may have issues.but they never bothered to check the functionality of the second lens before it was shipped to me.when i asked about it ,the blunt answer was that they will not bother to find out whether the item works or not before they send it to the customer irrespective of the fact whether it is a first purchase or an exchange one and when you call them over the phone, you are kept on hold for hours. They also do not respond to your emails. Finally i returned the second lens for a refund and i was able to purchase a used lens at a lower price at a local camera store and now it functions very well.i have to invest six hundred some dollars to purchase this lens from B&W but they do not seem to care what inconvenience they cause the customers with their callous approach.Their laughable excuse and explanation was that once they open the package and test the functionality of the exchange lens (not the first lens) before it is shipped, it will become an used one .So it is okay for them to send a defective item but not a one whose functionality is checked before it is shipped to the customers.Henceforth i have decide not to make any purchase from B&W.

Their "laughable excuse" is exactly correct. Once a manufacture sealed package is opened it certainly can be considered used, opening the door for some customers to claim more wrong-doing on the part of the dealer. A dealer expects their suppliers to send them products that are correct in all respects. The fault is with Fuji if their brand new, unopened lenses are defective.
It's not a laughable excuse. They are right. They cannot open a new package, use it to test it, then sell it to you as new. Moreover, how's B & H fault that a particular manufacturer's item is faulty? If they were selling you an used item, then I can see their obligation to check its functionality before selling.
These things happens with any and all manufacturers. What should be done by retailers is that after a series of complaints/returns of a particular defective item they should stopped and refuse to sell that item; unfortunately it would take quite a few customer complaints for that to happen.

If you aren't aware of it, B&H has a new credit card called Payboo. It's through Synchrony bank. It's a no fee, no interest if balance paid off card. It's only good for B&H purchases, and when you use it, they automatically credit you back the sales tax you would have paid and B&H pays it for you. I have used it a few times in the last few weeks and it has saved me over $100.

Your experience is contrary to all my experiences with B & H. 2 hours holding on phone? Have you ever tried their Chat?
Mark
i had enough of headache dealing with them. i have no desire to do live chat with them.the local camera store works very well for me.i can go there, buy the item, have it tested then and there and buy it if it works ,otherwise don't buy it.no hassle.
