As already asked, why a full circle? The sun can only shine from South of the sundial, never North of it. And I'm curious why it has 16 markers around the circle?

No idea why it shows 24 hours... Don't forget that it will only show apparent time - as the article says, being offset from the Greenwich meridian there will be a time difference between standard and apparent time. And the beach is wonderful! I was brought up not far from there.

Your picture is timeless but I don't see any crop circles in the background. Where are the crop circles??? Regarding the circular form. The large and small posts around the circle are for decoration. The time is indicated by the white stripes on the ground.

The days are long that far North - I count 17 of those stripes.

That's the widest beach I think I've ever seen.

Need 17 hours to cover the longest day in summer to the shortest day in winter. If that's a beach, that explains why there are no crop circles. There are higher tides the further north you go which may explain the width of the beach. Just guessing.....
