I guess since CDC is somewhat standing up to trumps disbelief in science. And virus recommendations on school openings he has decided to start cutting them out - similar to the way he has sidelined DR Fauci

He wants to cover up the real numbers of people die from the virus and those that may have it. This way he can make it look good for him. He telling people he known more than any doctor about anything. That tell you you are not dealing with a full deck. If the virus does not kill you, he may get you kill.

Trump has always had them on the sidelines hasn't he? He does his own thing.

A lot of pediatricians are recommending opening up schools. Also this group -

Since our Son teaches the early grades in South Carolina, we are worried about opening up the schools too soon. Just today it was noted that some 30% of children tested in, IRRC, Florida were positive for COVID 19.

A teacher could be walking into a petri dish. Online instruction is touted as a solution, how can 1st graders, for example, be taught online? How can little kids be kept in masks? Should teachers make out wills?
Could it be that Mr Trump downplayed the COVID 19 infections, and thus bears considerable responsibility for the current crisis? How about "depraved indifference" to a national emergency? He seems far more concerned with his re-election prospects than the welfare of our country.

This country is in a terrible situation. Reopening schools would be wonderful for everyone. But, at the current rate of growing infections, it cannot be safely done. In fact, if the current rate of infections continues, another lock-down will be necessary.
And yes, instead of uniting the country to resolve this national crisis, Trump has downplayed it, and unsuccessfully tried to wish it away. His is responsible for making it worse, as he was more concerned about his re-election than the safety and welfare of this country.

The push by some to reopen schools has nothing to do with children’s education.
It is all about the making it easier for the parents to go back to work.

What is so hard to understand that the economy will NOT recover until the virus is under control. There is no taking things out of order , first the virus then the economy ...

Once the freeze on foreclosures and evictions are lifted, and the extra unemployment stops then people will change their tune. Especially if food shortages follow.

You are right, what is more important, Mom making money or having her kids healthy. No question for Repukes, kill old people and make teachers into guinea pigs. Repukes do not confuse their priorities, these old people are expandable and they never liked teachers anyway. Support more money, vote for trump, he has his priorities correct.

Following the CCP playbook. The Communist Chinese Party requires that all information be filtered and repainted by the government-controlled media.

Trump Machinery and the FOX Republican Party News will tell you what they want you to know.

Well, it looks like Big Don could use some tips from the coucomono for concocting numbers.

No one really knows the true numbers. Of the dead morticians do not want to handle the bodies to verify cause of death being afraid that they might catch it, ie: all of the refrigeration trailers needed.

Assuming that what you state is fact, and it may well be, how does that make anyone safer? Besides, I had you figured for a home schooling proponent.

It's always about the teachers, never about the kids. More kids die from the common flu than will ever die from Covid. That's the science. But, to hell with the kids. It's all about making Trump look bad for the election.
