We have a family of Red Hawks near us and I've had a great time trying to catch them in flight in just the right light but without a ton of success. The other morning though, the robins were really kicking up a fuss. When I went out and looked, I found that one of the hawks was sitting in the top of a big pine tree on the edge of our yard. All around him were robins, clearly displeased with him. I didn't realize it but it's obviously a nesting tree.
Eventually he must have decided that they weren't worth the trouble and flew home. About a dozen robins chased him.
You got one BIF too! Nice.

Great sequence Sally and your 3 shots tell the story. Nice day for you and your patience paid-off.
