As you all have probably heard by now, Charlie Daniels passed away early this morning at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage Tennessee. It's a sad loss for many of us who loved Charlie's music over the years. I had the pleasure of meeting him in church and he was just as down to earth a man as you'd ever meet. Back in April 2016 (for Easter) he gave a free performance at World Outreach church. Lucky me, I got a front row seat where I shot these photos. I'm not really proud of these, they're not that good and I know it. But in order to honor him, I wanted to share this rare footage of Charlie Daniels in Church. Oh, if you want to see the performance, below is a link to the video. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Thanks James.....you did good sir.
Done in truly Charlie Daniels style! Thanks for the link.
Thanks for all the views and visits folks. I'm not a big commentor, but do enjoy reading yours. Thanks again.
Nice set James, and thanks for the link. I saw Charlie Daniels along with Marshall Tucker in the 70's and 80's. Loved his music. RIP Charlie.
R.I.P., Charlie Daniels, Great set, James.
Thanks very much, James. I enjoyed the music and the photos. Must have been a moving event.
Thanks for sharing he is a wonderful musician.
Nice captures of Charlie without his hat. Good musical, but not a very nice man off stage - so I hear.

how cool you could sit on the front seat and get these wonderful shots of him, james! he was certainly a favorite of mine...thanks for sharing the shots, and hope you are doing okay and staying safe.
James, these are great. Good tribute to a great guy, as well.

He certainly will be missed... Thanks for sharing...
Thanks so much James for the photos and story. Charlie was always my fav. Saw him 6 times in concert here and will miss him. Best wishes to his family. Thanks for everything Charlie.
Excellent shots, James. They are a fitting tribute.
First I ever heard anyone say he was not very nice off stage, of course anyone can have a bad day and meetings are two way affairs.
I was fortunate to meet him a few years ago, it was a wonderful experience, very gracious individual that seemed considerate of the folks that made him a star.
He supported the Second Amendment and Veterans, still have his autographed photo and ones I shot at the concert.
Sad day, RIP!
