I have been very happy with my Sony RX10111 for the last two years. Now, albeit occasionally, when I zoom in or out it freezes. Turning camera off and then on makes it work for the rest of the session. However, the next time I'm shooting it happens again. Have not been able to speak with Sony or their authorized repair company. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Been using the RX10 IV for a couple of years now and that hasn't happened. Maybe they corrected the problem in the newer model.
I had to send my a6000 back four (4!) times before they would send me a replacement, and then the replacement, an a6300, didn't work either.
This all occurred within the one-year warranty period. I won't be buying a Sony product anytime soon.
It may be that you are right and that the new model will not suffer from that defect. Are you happy with the RX 10IV? You have features that mine doesn’t and I am wondering if it’s worth the money moving up to your model?
I also have the a 6000 for several years and have never had an issue with it.
