In the 70's I had an AP press and went there concert. I had several scotch and waters before the concert. When I arrived there were no seats so they put two seats on the stage. I went to the bathroom and saw all these long hair thugs and was glad to get out of there alive. Back on the stage who should arrive to play, the thugs Shan Na Na. Maybe too much scotch.😃

Welcome, queencitysanty! I bet you were impressed with the choice of old songs . . . AP

Great photo that really captures Bowzer’s entertainment personality. Shoes appear to be Chuck Taylor Converse Allstars. I have them in many colors.

Great shot, AP. I always enjoyed watching Sha Na Na way back when. They kept performing together for quite a while. You photographed numerous celebrities over the years.

I hope you’re doing well during this crisis. I’ve always enjoyed cooking but am doing even more now. Keeps me busy, well fed and smiling.

Buon Appetito,

John

I was thrilled to see that white dog! I'm glad to hear your cooking again. You know how well music and food fit together; don't forget that Vino! Thank You, John, for your wonderful response! AP

Terrific shot. Great equipment. I hardly remember the group's music. The music to my ears is the written description: "Made with Hasselblad 500c film camera & 250mm f5.6 Carl Zeiss lens. Camera mounted with Matador 200 w/s strobe set at 200 w/s, Exp. 1/500 sec. at f5.6"

It was so uplifting to read this words.

I still have a very complete 'blad system that hasn't had a roll of film thru it in 15 years. Here comes that melancholy feeling.

Thanks for the trip back in time.

Welcome, waltnetto! Good subject matter, deserves the the very BEST photo equipment equipment in their making . . .

I also have other cerliberties where I used the Hasselblad 500c in their flashback PRO makings!
Bought my first Hasselblad 500c brand-new 1969 paid: $650.00

The "King" Elvis Presley, is very historical. It is the only time ever he appeared in the, "Boston Garden" Nov. 11, 1971. General admission ticket: $10.00 1971.

Above, "Sha Na Na" Bowzer in action, Danvers, MA rt 114 Feb. 1978.

"Julia Child" and her husband Paul Child, in their home not the Channel 2 studio - Sep. 1978.

Elezebth Montgomery and film crew - "Bewitched" early 1970s . . .

"John Kennedy Jr." Graduation June 1979 - Just to name a few

Check out Julia Child, and the King . . . AP

Very pleasant response, topcat. It's easy for me to see that decisive moment, a sports action photographer 15 years 1969-84. Singers, talkers, speakers, seem to be way slowed down from action sports. It makes your see the images a lot faster in the peak . . . AP
