Nice ones Mike. You live in such a beautiful area of our country.

We are trying to expand our walks, so on Wednesday we drove to Mirror Lake in the Uinta Mountains. This takes us past the Bridal Veil Falls we visited last week and follows the Provo River. We get to see Deer Creek Reservoir, Jordanelle Reservoir, Provo River Falls and various smaller lakes on the way.
This post shows some of the scenes we encounter on our way.
I enjoyed the scenery Mike.
Mike,
Great photos, nice set. (Slight correction, the lake is Jordanelle Reservoir looking North)

Nice shots Mike.
I like all the shots but often wonder what the images would look like if taken early morning or in the afternoon. I try to craft the light now days so with the sun lower you get more light in the middle of the trees, better sky and less water sheen. To do this means I basically do as you've done with family and later come back to take the shots at different times without them as they would get bored. The good thing is you have time to come back and play with different light pictures. Often with flower shots this isn't the case. I find the shot and have to do the same and come back at the right time and get the shot before the flowers go south (buds and flowers look great but flowers and dead flowers really don't). You have great shots but I challenge you to pick your favorites and go back to take them in different lighting. If this is impossible, to go back, I'm sorry for sounding like a nut case about getting the shot. The problem is, I am a nut case about finding and getting better shots and lastly it can be very rewarding.
Gorgeous shots, Mike. You are fortunate to live amidst such natural beauty!
Beautiful shots! You live in scenic paradise.
👍👍🤗🤗so Utah has lakes and soap stone?
Beautiful country and very nice images.
A nice set of images and tour from Provo up into the Uinta Mountains.
I lived in Salt Lake City until finishing school at Utah in 1974. Your post brought back memories of fishing several of these lakes and fly fishing as well with my dad.
Thanks for posting.

Beautiful images Mike - especially the one of Lost Lake!
Thanks, Bill. The shot is right off the road to Mirror Lake, no big hike involved.
