The election is drawing near and if you are not registered to vote – do so. If you don’t vote you forfeit your right to complain.

I disagree. People who do not understand the issues or even know what the issues being discussed are, are ignorant of a rudimentary knowledge of how government works, vote blindly for one party or the other, are unaware of current events happening around them, only vote as part of a social function or to be one of the mob or group, favor or disfavor a candidate simply based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical attractiveness or unattractiveness etc. etc., should not be voting.

If you are one of these people, do the country a favor and stay at home!!! 8-)

As Carlin says, it's the people who DON'T vote who have the right to complain.

It's the voters who put the idiots in office!

signed my mail in ballot today and will mail tomorrow after spending several hours researching the local judges since we just moved to Las Vegas and I didn't know any of them.

I hope you don't have to meet any of those judges to get to know them. :D

Some people would complain if you hung them with a new rope.

That is true. And if you stop and think about that statement, it seems to be very wasteful because with the proper care a new rope can last a long time.

In this day and age the deck is stacked - one of the two major party candidates is going to win. Voting for the lesser of two evils has landed us where we are today. It would probably make more of a statement if NOBODY voted.

Obama has done his best to destroy this country in the past four years. The next four would be even worse as he no longer has to fight for re-election.

All you can really say about Romney is that he's not Obama.
