We went to Mirror Lake yesterday. My wife took the dogs ahead on the path to allow me to wander around the lake slowly taking pictures. When I got around, the first two shots are what I found.
Our female, Sassy, is 12 1/2 years old and sometimes after about an hour (this was at 10,000 feet) she limps. In anticipation of this, we wear a backpack for the dogs. Indulging my photography, Terry wore the back pack.
In addition to all this help, shot #3 is what she managed to take with her iPhone.
I hesitate to post any of my shots.

Maybe you should carry the dog and give her the camera. :-)

This is a set about companionship Mike and it was a great way to start my day! You are both fortunate to share an active life...and so are your dogs. Nice work, and thanks!
Great story and nice shots - that dog sure looks comfy! Like the landscape shot by your wife also!

Mirror Lake indeed👍🤗
Thanks, Susan. And, although I haven't edited my shots yet, I think that she got the best reflection shot, because the lake was windy during my shots. Then I went looking for birds.

Aw, your dogs are living the good life! They're very lucky. And so are you! Looks like time well spent, with a great companion, and your choice of pics to share shows you're appreciative of your good fortune. Can't ask for more out of life than that!
