We have had TV on almost every night since Annie-the-kitten joined us at the end of January, but this is the first time she showed any real interest in it.

Haha. Be glad it really isn't.

Thank you for your response.

What caused me to hold my breathe for a few seconds was a fear that she would extend her claws and scratch the screen.

Not up on it, don't use TV anymore, but there used to be TV for Pets. A couple of my Labs loved it. My Mom's cat as well.

Thank you for your comment.

I believe there are Internet sites these days that our daughters use to entertain their cats.

Yes, very cute. Lately she has found a new way of entertaining us around 7-9 pm, and then she takes a nap on the {padded} chair at my computer desk {I posted that from my desk-top computer; now I am posting from my smart phone why she naps on my chair}

I just hope that's the limit of her interest. I'd hate to see that tumble over.

Thank you for your comment - but I really didn’t need something else to worry about.

After rmalarz planted the seed of that thought, I contacted my older daughter, and she assured me that her full-grown male cat hasn’t, so I guess I’m safe for now.

Just to be on the safe side there is a product called something like Quake Hold readily available in California (earthquake country). It is a putty like substance (solid color or clear) that holds things to shelves or tables. It is easily removable if you need or want to do that. Not sure where it could be obtained where you live.
