Palouse barn from another era

This is a composite black & white photo. Although the barn and field were photographed near Palouse, Washington, the sky was imported from the collection in Luminar 4. As such, I felt the sun rays needed to shine on the upper part of the field, so I did some minor lightening in that area. Plus, I dodged the barn bit to help it stand out from the grassy area. A touch of selenium toning was added along with a mild vignette. Your opinions are most welcome. I'm going to wait a few days before I decide to have it printed at Costco. Oh, I think it looks much better by clicking the download button. Ken

Spectacular! For my eye black & white is the proper way.

Great pic of a lonely barn in the middle of an expanse.
For me it is spoilt only by the heavy sky.

Ken, planning a possible trip to the Palouse area in about 2 weeks. Is that a little late for the spring crops and wildflower green-up photos? Thanks

Frankly, I'm not sure as I live on the west side of the Cascades. Perhaps if you sent an email to the Pullman Chamber of Commerce you'd get a better qualified answer.

Best wishes on your adventure!
