Another beautiful day on the river. Put the boat in at Schodack State Park and cruised on up through the ports of Albany/Rensselaer to the Federal Lock at Troy. The port wasn't very busy but I did get some shots of some boats, tugs, and one ship departing southbound. Also got a shot of the USS Slater, a WWII Destroyer Escort that is now a museum ship at Albany. Took along a friend, a tugboat skipper who has just finished up cancer treatment and hasn't been on the water for a while. He was happy to get back on the river so I let him drive while I took photos. Worked out well for both of us.
