Yeah... as if he has a chance of getting 1% of the vote or even a single electoral vote. While I like a lot of what Libertarians stand for, a vote for any candidate except the two major parties is a vote thrown to the wind and lost with no possibility of changing anything.

Then you are saying the American political system is doomed to no more than 2 parties. The only way to create a viable 3rd party is to have people show support by voting.

It is called fear tactics. Republicans know they are not supporting conservatives so they have been using that same strategy for years to prevent another party from challenging their reign. If you do not vote for us, then you split the vote and a democrat gets elected. I am a little confused seeing democrat Romney running on the republican ticket and still hearing this crap. What is the difference? Liberal A or Liberal B, we still get a liberal and no change.

The problem is if Oblame-O gets relected we don't have to care who he will blame. We are still stuck with an incompetent socialist and a downhill nation for 4 solid years.

Once again we do not have a good choice for the Office of President of the United States. Neither of these men running should become a leader in my country. We have once again be given bad choices because of the way our party system works (not how it is setup). Both voting parties made bad choices once again. I do not know yet who I will vote against (not for) this year because I have trouble deciding who will do the least damage to the country. So for now all I can say is God Help Us One and All.

Why ? The only reason I can see is that you'v e been out of the country for the last four years where there wasn't any form of information comming in or out....

nope been here been watching, listening and reading. I am very aware whether you choose to believe that or not. The last two elections were in the same boat as far as I am concerned. For some reason the people we need to run do not. In case you are wondering I love my country and have served it willingly once upon a time and would again if need be. The only problem is I am not smart enough to fix the things here that need it and we haven't seen anyone in quite a while that can that has run for the highest office in the land. Now that is what is really sad.

So your vote is either for continued failed policies, more spending, more debt, and further weakening defense - or a fiscally responsible turn around with dramatically different policies, increased defense with a strong stance against terrorism, and increased security concerning our future as a nation. A black or white (no pun intended) choice. That's who you can vote for...

Gosh you make it sound so simple - like its really so black and white.
Vote for the guy white guy who best represents the monied interests in our country - those guy who do in fact want to keep everything the same cuz it's good for them.....or vote for that black guy who is a everything white america is not.
quote=marcomarks quote=GeneB quote=donrent Gene... (show quote)

Only a wealth-envious Liberal could read all of that and still retain a concept that the white guy only represents the monied interests of our country. There is no evidence to support that concept except gibberish about Conservatives wanting tax cuts to be across the board fairly and Liberals wanting to rip off the rich by taking theirs away. Sorry but the rich already pay most of the taxes in this country and they're doing their fair share despite the class warfare that Liberals enjoy stirring up to gridlock Congress and try to maintain control of government.

Robin ObamaHood and his merry band of blowhards want to take from the rich and give to the poor - anti-capitalist to the max. Robin Hood was considered a criminal sought by the law for doing so but because of the Liberal media Obama is not.

The reality is that the richer the rich become because of sales of their products or services and investments they make, the more jobs that are provided for the working class in the businesses that the rich own. The union-based class warfare of "us" and "them" of the past is old hat and tired.

Jobs going overseas has nothing to do with Conservative or Liberal. Lowering overhead is required because the American public has an obsession with cheap. Cheap is only possible with cheap labor that creates low overhead and thus lower selling prices. It's a vicious circle that isn't about to change, no matter who the President is. There are jobs to be created but they aren't likely going to be union wage manufacturing jobs and people need to get used to that idea. The manufacturing era of America is mostly over except stuff that can't possibly be made overseas for our market.

Henry Ford was rich. Ford workers came to Ford factories to work because Henry Ford was rich enough to build factories. Otherwise they would have had to stay at home in the south working their fields with a horse and plow while barely surviving. It took a rich business owner with the capital to build a factory to move the horseless carriage idea into mass produced reality and then workers got jobs from the rich person's investment in that idea. Nothing has changed. Capitalism, business, rich business owners getting richer, and all of that is the major financial foundation of our country and must be treated as such.

Yes, there's extreme greed like banks charging 35% base interest rates on credit cards when they borrow money from the government at 0% interest. Is Obama doing anything to stop it? No. He supposedly put a consumer protection policy in place but gave banks time to jack every rate to the sky before it went into effect so it only made the bad worse. Was the delay of it going into effect until rates were as high as possible caused by government slowness or intentional?

Obama, the guy who is everything America is not? At least you've got that part right.

Obama is a hoax. A wolf in sheep's clothing. Supposedly anti-Wall Street but supported by them. Supposedly anti-big-business but supported by the richest of the rich. Supposedly anti-banking industry but doing nothing that affects them. Supposedly anti-insurance company but you don't see them complaining much about ObamaCare because there's something in it for them that we don't yet understand. Supposedly anti-lawyer but Holder is one of the biggest of all. Supposedly anti-crime but supported by the Chicago mob and mob-infiltrated union leaders. Supposedly pro-elderly but taking $700 Billion out of Medicare. Supposedly pro-military yet cutting their budgets and more soldiers killed in the last year because of his policies of pull out deadlines than all the years before him. Supposedly anti-crony but handing billions to a solar panel company owned by big Obama supporters who then go bankrupt almost immediately while other solar panel companies are doing just fine.

Even the details of the Fast and Furious gun running scheme, known as a bad idea from bottom to top throughout his Justice Department all the way up to Eric Holder himself, are being suppressed by the media although good people were murdered as well as hundreds or thousands of innocents. The only place to get all the real facts of that atrocity is from the NRA. Where's the rest of the mainstream media? 15 seconds of coverage once a month at most?

The list of two-faced stances of Obama who is supposedly the "man of the people" while actually being a power grabbing egotist making himself wealthy through his elected position, and at the expense of taxpayers, goes on and on and on.

It's all right out in the open yet the Liberal media doesn't report any of it. Somehow Conservative authors can write volumes and volumes of researched and verified details of the Obama administration's jaw-dropping absurd activities but the Liberal media never covers a single detail of any of it as though it doesn't exist.

Yes, the choice is very simple.

How about this, Obama has budgeted over $20 trillion in debt for his second term, and just a week or two ago he told a crowd that our debt is not a problem as the world has such confidence in the US and our economy that they are loaning us money at low interest rates.... National Debt not a problem? Go back to his 2008 remarks about GW being unpatriotic for running up the national debt and what that meant for future generations.... President Obama is less than honest, in fact he lies, he full well knows that the Fed is printing money and buying our debt and that is why interest rates are where they are at, he also fully understands what this does to retired people in this country. He also fully understands that by the end of his second term we will be headed towards $2 trillion deficits because the Fed can not hold down interest rates for ever without grossly devaluating our currency and when they do return to normal the interest alone on our debt will be approaching $1 trillion for which we will receive nothing in return.... Thanks to the Fed's sustained activity in QE1, QE2, and QE3 our interest currently is in the range of $250 to 300 billion, but that is like 1.25% interest, historically it has been closer to 5%...

The president has no answers other than more of same failed experiment that has done nothing to restore our economy.

4 years ago Obama was elected "Quarterback" and all the Republicans on the team decided to neither block for him on offense or try to tackle for him on defense. All considered, he may be one of the best quarterbacks we've ever had.

President Obama has done much for the country.

The right wing likes to overlook what he has done. It is easy to deny and live in a cave.

You served your country and so did I and others on the site. The thing I like most about the President is his recognition of veterans and his funding of the VA. Something lapel pin patriots don't do! I don't like the fact that Romney avoided the draft during Viet Nam while campaigning for the war. When he was called he used his connections to get a deferment and go to Paris.

Here is what the President has accomplished. I hope this helps you decide. But, no matter whom you vote for - do vote.

What Has Obama Done? Here Are 200 Accomplishments! With Citations!
If you like this blog, please support it with a one-time donation or ongoing monthly support. Just click on one of tbe boxes in the right column. Thank you.

If you're one of those who thinks President Obama is a "disappointment," my condolences for you not getting your unicorn. And it's time to grow up, and get over it. We have a little over two months to go before an election that will feature more political ads than you have ever seen before. We don't just have to beat Willard Romney; we also have to beat Citizens United. There will be TWO choices for president; it's not a smorgasbord. You can either work for Obama and every other Democrat (yes, including Blue Dogs), or you can sit back and watch Willard Romney complete the job of taking apart the social fabric of the country that was first undertaken by Ronald Reagan 32 years ago. That is your choice.

What makes the "disappointment" argument even more irritating is that it's simply not true. He's done nearly everything we elect a president to do, and he did it all with little support from the left, and massive obstruction from the right.

Is he perfect? No, he's human. Does he deserve some criticism? Of course, but at this point, it really doesn't matter.

What does matter is that this president has compiled a STELLAR record given the circumstances under which he took office. If you can look at this list of the president's accomplishments and not be excited, you have a serious problem with perspective.

Pass this list around to everyone you know. And don't be afraid; unlike many such lists, every item includes a link to a citation supporting it.

This a partial transcript of the video segment.

Where are you getting that number?

Maybe I did not state that clearly enough for you, first off I did not say deficit I said debt, maybe I should have been more clear that the debt would exceed 20 Trillion before the end of his second term, this last year was just readjusted by the government to something like 1.257 trillion and the president has no plans to change the trajectory... like he said last week, "right now deficits don't matter because interest rates are low" Well, he is right, right now interest rates are low because the Fed is printing money and purchasing so much government debt that they can artificially push interest rates low by bidding up federal treasuries to very near their maturity value... but that is not generally the case, let's look at the average yield on treasuries and federal bonds under Clinton.... 6% you can use the link to verify for yourself.... Now it is clear that the national debt will rise to over $20 trillion under Obama in his second term, now lets say the interest rates return to the Clinton era rates or even worse the rates of the 70's... we would be screwed.... 6% on 20 trillion = 1.2 trillion, just about 1/2 of all revenues collected by the federal government last year, and what would we get back for this 1.2 trillion expenditure?????
