Head south to the Tetons for the best hiking and scenery after you burn out in Yellowstone.

I have been shooting in Yellowstone several times a year since 1969. Never even came close to "burnout"! That is typically caused by reaching the limit of ones own capabilities!

If one has no interest in enjoying the geography, geology, hiking, wildlife or just the sheer beauty of the park, I suppose one could burn out.

This is true. But then why bother going in the first place, enjoy your big city life and traffic!

I'm a diehard and it's too bad it's so far and I'm so old!

I can appreciate that it's not for everyone. Reminds me of a tourist saying that the Grand Canyon was just a big hole in the ground. Hopefully he went back to the city.

I'm jealous! I was there for three weeks at this same time last year and dream of going back soon! During my lifetime I've probably spent at least 15 weeks in Yellowstone... no chance of burn out here.
