Great pics. A lot of history. Where in Wyoming were these photos taken?
Curious as my wife & I spent a lot of time camping with our horses in Wyoming when we were younger.

I see pictures like these all the time. Log cabins out on the open plains. Where did the logs come from to build these cabins, there is not a tree insight?

Thanks for stopping by archbo glad you enjoyed this series and left comments. Logs came from the Uinta Mtns. just to the south over the horizon.

Interesting series. The plaque is interesting, I wonder what the motivation was?

This is one of your best sets yet, Jim! BTW my crew points out that dogs NEVER photo bomb, they enhance the photo.

I stand corrected Mike and please let your crew know and, truth be known, your crew is right. She is a joy to take along...loves to get out and follow us around and, when I open the car door, she comes and jumps right in!!

Thanks for your generous comments Mike...I always appreciate hearing from you!!

Our outings occasionally take us by this old site. Which is great because I love photographing this site at different times and seasons. This past Tuesday we were out looking for wildflowers in the higher elevations (taking advantage of the cooler air too) when we stopped by. Many of the building have substantially deteriorated since our last visit. Fortunately, there is little signs of vandalism here. Image #6 was a first time find for us. Wife noticed something shiny and, after clearing away the dirt and brush, this memorial marker was found. Anyhow, hope you enjoy these photos from that outing and, I apologize for no wildflower pix.
