A body to die for. A great GAS attack.

I’ve been eying if for some time now. Spending almost 24/7 at home now gave me plenty of time to
“Justify” the purchase.😁

I've been using the Pentax KP I already had - I have not faced a situation at home that it could not handle.

Woo hoo:

1. The EOS R5 will be able to shoot 8K 30p at full sensor width, i.e. no crop.
2. All 8K modes the EOS R5 will support Dual Pixel AF.
3. The EOS R5 will feature advanced animal AF that will be able to recognize animal eyes, but also the face and body when the eyes are not visible.

And this is just what Canon has leaked out.
There are many other hyper great features like the 20 fps capture rate etc.
This is now showing why there are super perfect RF lenses being made now.
Can one even imagine what the R1 will be like.

Hard to imagine! Maybe it will clean your house and make you dinner?

I went Christmas, birthday, anniversary, and just because online shopping at B&H Photo last month. I'm now awaiting my account statement with that upcoming type of Gas Attack.
Now I need to take New and old equipment/toys out to play with Mother Nature.
Why not enjoy it?
Old, retired, and cursed-or blessed with a great, but expensive hobby.

I have succumbed to a GAS attack that has been building for over a month. As I sit here with nothing to do I imagine my bank account is fairly bursting at the seams with excess cash I cannot go out and spend on the senseless things I usually buy. I own a Sigma 180mm, f/2.8 macro lens and I love it - but it's heavy. Real heavy. Over the last month or so the major on-line retailers have been advertising the Sigma 105mm, f/2.8 macro lens for $500 off the regular price. I finally gave in to the GAS and ordered it this morning. Anybody else ordering equipment they could probably live without?

I am I have been looking for the Fuji GFX 50r the last few weeks to take advantage of the sale price but there is no stock or a temporary back order status on the sites I trust to buy from. Even Amazon, yes they are an authorized GFX dealer is reporting 1-2 month delivery status.

In my MIND I dream about getting a Full-Framed Nikon or a Mirrorless Camera, as a 69 year old Retiree with monthly bills and a Mortgage, but I know all new lens would be required too, so I will need to be happy & satisfied with my present trustworthy used Nikon D3300 and 5 Nikon Lens.
And I DO NOT play the Lottery or go to any Casinos in my State of Michigan, so unless my Pension or Social Security increases, I suppose I will have to hope someone buys me a Photography Surprise.!!!

I suppose I might get a “FF” Pentax camera to use my old lenses ‘as they were meant to be used’, but would involve purchasing a body only.

I have pre-ordered a Metabones adapter {from B&H} which would cause my 50mm f/1.4 K-mount lens to become a 25mm f/0.7 lens on my 4.65-crop Q-7, but so far that seems to be "vaporware" - the merchants are taking orders, but no one seems to have actually shipped any so far.
