This and recent other similar events happen in Long-Standing Democrat Controlled locales, Democrats have been in charge of the Police Department, the Executive and the legislature in these places of unrest for a really long time. Why is it someone else's fault that the needs and expectations of the local population are not being met in such a way that they are so frustrated or unhappy that they have to react like this!

The democrats have ran Minnesota, Hennepin County, and Minneapolis for years ... how could it be anybody's fault but Trump's.

You mean beside his rhetoric that has emboldened racists nationwide and his rollback or regulations Aimed at stopping the militarization of police forces?

That is just stupid, it was the twisted interpretations of the presidents words by the media that has emboldened leftists and stroked unrest in this country.

Actually the official "state" autopsy also showed similar results, so do you really think a third "independent" autopsy is necessary?

It's more a matter of did they charge the officer who had his knee on George Floyd's neck with the correct crime?

Should it be first degree murder or second degree murder instead of third degree murder and manslaughter?

What will the other 2 officers who were also kneeling on George Floyd's back be charged with?

What will the officer who waved off the EMT's be charged with?

You do realize that the officer who's already been charged is currently on suicide watch, he was moved to two different jails within hours of his arrest. I don't think he'll be getting bail any time soon!

Not sure if you think I'm supporting one side or the other. What I'm supporting is that I'm not going to be one who is accepting anything anyone says until it is presented in court with backup documentation. We won't know until all of the facts are presented. For example: Were the officers trying to restrain a person violently thrashing around while trying to prevent Mr. Floyd from harming himself until medical arrived and ensuring they themselves were not exposed to possible covid 19 virus. Would you expect anyone, including police, to give mouth to mouth resuscitation. Were the officers acting to the "best of their ability" during a pandemic. That's what the court system is for. Our legal system is to bring out the truth.

Mr. Floyd was handcuffed.

None of the officers on the scene were wearing face madks, so if they were worried about contracting the Covid-19 Virus, they weren't protecting themselves!

All police in my ares are issued face masks, where were theirs?

You're not going to convince me and a majority of the country that the police were acting within the law in this case, there's way too much video evidence to prove otherwise!

One cannot lame blame upon one party as both are to blame.

A reasonable leader would be asking for calm not stoking the fires of resentment.

This is not about politics. This is about social injustice.

Trump is not to blame for the uprising...he is to blame for mishandling and escalating the situation.

General James Mattis said it very well:

"Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children."

We are witnessing what happens to a president that survives a coup.
