The second autopsy showed the cause of death to be asphyxiation caused by an extended period of time of pressure on the victim's neck and back.
In other words all 4 officers murdered George Floyd!
That is not what the autopsy showed. The autopsy showed that he died of a heart attack. He had a massive does of fentynal in his system and had traces of meth. He also had heart disease. The medical examiner called it murder, but he also said that the police contributed to his death, but there were a lot of other factors involved.
Not supporting the police. They were wrong, but Floyd was on drugs, and had just attempted to pass a counterfeit $20. It's not like he was squeaky clean. People aren't even protesting the right death. Tonight in Louisville two police officers and two national guard members heard gunshots and "returned fire". They killed the owner of a barbecue restaurant, who just happened to like police and regularly gave them free meals when they were on their lunch breaks. Police make mistakes.
That is the death that should be protested. Not the death, however, senseless it was of a drug addict, who was engaged in illegal activity.
To the credit of the Louisville mayor the chief of police was fired immediately. However, the officers were only placed on administrative leave and are still being paid.
All deaths are bad, and all lives matter. That includes the business owners who's lives are being destroyed by the rioters. I sympathize with the protesters, but not with the rioters. They should be held accountable, instead the police are watching their cities burn to the ground.
Police behave badly. However, most police are honest hard working people who make our cities safer. They have a tough job and should not all be condemned because of There are few bad apples.
The rioters and looters are making things worse, not better. And unfortunately they are hurting the communities that they claim they are protesting trying to help. Let me be clear, it is not the peaceful protesters who are a problem. They have a legitimate grievance. but those who are burning our cities to the ground do not. They are part of the problem, not the solution.
By the way, the last high profile police caused death in Minneapolis was of a blonde Australian woman who was attempting to help the police and was shot by a black officer for her efforts. Just because there is police wrongdoing doesn't necessarily mean that racism was involved. It might be racism, or it might just be bad decision making and misbehavior by a police officer or officers.
