Every once in a while, I find one that stays still long enough for a photo shoot. It must be that they are too engrossed in singing and other mating activities to be aware of a car driving up.

Terrific series, Katy. I was thinking about why the white works so well: for me it's because the frame is uncluttered and the white is not a contrasty sky against lush or dark landscape. The feeling is fine art.

Very nice. I have a house wren nesting in the hitch of my 5th wheel trailer. Despite trying, no photos yet.
