Fun shoot in the CA foothills a few years back with a great model.

Very nicely done. I especially like #1 because the softness of image enhances her allure. This is very nice in B&W; very nice gray scale tones. It may sound strange but I think a crop to head and shoulders would be more harmonious though the shot is great as it is.

Great model. Nice lighting. I think I would have backed off on the skin texture effect a little in the full body shot.

Nice but too skinny, not my cup

I don't think she is skinny. Years back it was popular try to get the wasp waist which I never cared for. If she were relaxed I think you would think her body was perfect. When you consider the time the shot was probably considered right on.

Wow, was that a leap. An art class I took years ago included a short section on nude art. The professor explained the difference between being nude and being naked. The difference is in the reason for which one has removed their clothing. Art, which I hope this section is predominantly focused, is about lighting, poses, etc. It's not about inspiring prurient interests. Your next post proves you're focused on the wrong aspect of this genre of art.

Ok. You defined “Art” but I still don’t see the difference between nude and naked.

To quote the post to which you replied, "The difference is in the reason for which one has removed their clothing."

She is perfection! Was she a professional, or a "neighbor"?

What about the photographic aspects of the image? In short, is the image a work of nude art, or is it just a picture of a naked woman?

Did you notice that the images are different in temperature? The first is colder, but so up-close that it cannot be compared to the background, therefore up to the viewer to decide her skin tone etc. The second is very warm, which renders the stone behind her as softer than reality. Both are well lighted. This is art, viewed with respect by an artist. Perhaps no distinction is needed, but up to the viewer to decide for themself. Can you expand?

You have said enough. And, as you said, it is up to the viewer to decide the most applicable use for the art or picture of a naked woman.

I'm impressed by the creamy skin tones, reminiscent of Mapplethorpe's prints. I'm curious how you achieved such nice texture.
