Trying to find a way to scan color and B/W negatives that are 2 3/8 in. square, this is about 60mm. Have no idea what camera was used, my guess is something that uses 120mm film. These are old negatives I have inherited because no one else wants to do anything with them.

Is there any way to change document size, no matter how I have arranged the negatives it crops them.

Please any suggestions.

120 film is 2 3/8" wide which is accommodated by the 2 1/4" negative holder of the V600 scanner. If the image on your negatives is wider than 2 1/4", there may be some cropping.

Are there sprocket holes along the edges of the film? If so, it could be 70mm film . I used it in my Hasselblads for aerial work. Less reloading/ changing backs. Sixty exposures per load. For some uses. the processed negatives had the sprocket holes trimmed-off.

Couldn't you use the 2 1/4 holder and just lose tiny piece of the edge of the photo?

I have been able to get a full image by only placing one negative at a time. I will be able to continue later today trying to get multiple images lined up today. Thank you for your assistance.

There are no sprocket holes if they were trimmed off i have no way of knowing but they all seem very standardized. Thank you for your insight.

It appears that is going to be the process, currently working on something to help with alignment.
Thank you Steve49.

Many years ago I "inherited" quite a stack of B/W negatives from my in-laws.
They had all been separated, none had sprocketholes. Some were square, some were rectangular. All were curved, some to the point that they were almost rolled up, others just slightly. None fit in any of the holders that came with my scanner. (I have the V700).
I ended up placing them on the platen just the way they were, and put a piece of non-glare glass on them to keep them flat. It was a lot of work, but well worth the effort.
You can get non-glare glass in any frame shop.

PS - To prevent the glass edges from cutting my fingers, I put a border of packing tape on the glass, leaving the tape an inch or so sticking out on two corners to make "handles" to place the glass and to lift it off again.
The packing tape is the type that looks like there are lengthwise threads inside the tape. No idea what it is called, but it is very strong.

I just recently scanned 4x5 sheet film on my V600. Placed the film on the glass, scanned one half and then the other and stitched in Photoshop. Some work but it was successful. Your film should fit in the 120 holder. If you're worried about the extra space just cover it with black paper. My scanner came with a black stiff holder for filling space and helping to keep film flat.

I have 127 size negatives from my old Brownie Holiday Flash camera. I tried to scan them on my V600 scanner but it is not programmed for that size film. I had the same problem as you but don't see any way to get around it.

Use the 120/220 film holder that came with the V600, or buy a third party holder on Amazon.

120/220 negatives have an exposed width of about 56mm. Formats are called 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, 6x8, 6x9, 6x17 (nominal measurements in cm).

The V600 should handle all of them.

In the late 1950's, my Dad gave me the Kodak "Duaflex" which he had used to take pictures of me when I was a toddler ten years earlier; it used 620 film, which produced 2-1/4 square negatives. I used it fairly constantly until around 1979. I find that the a square mask that came with my Epson scanner works fine with it.

Yes it does. I had an Argus Seventy-Five TLR box camera in 1959. Got me started at age 5! It used 620.

My Epson scanner (pre your model) has driver software that lets you crop (or expand) the preview image.
