When I was in Alaska in the 1960s the Alcan Highway was mostly gravel. Is It all paved now???

I took a picture like this on route 66 back in 1960 - horizon to horizon. Seemed like it took forever to get there

Thank you very very much Hereford. The first time I went up in 1960, it was gravel to the Alaska Border, from there on it was paved. Now it is all paved.

Hwy 50 from Carson City to Utah is just like that with small towns every 100 miles or so and when the wind is blowing across the desert its hard to stay on the road.500 miles of white knukle driving.
