I'm always looking for things to make me laugh, and I have a lot of luck with that. This one made me laugh out loud. I've often wondered what dogs think when they look in the mirror.
Nice one! My dog would be, "I'm definitely the best-looking one here!"
Good one. Dogs must also think we humans know magic; we rub the wall and the room gets brighter.
There are a whole bunch of fascinating studies focused on the question, "What does an animal see when it looks in a mirror?" If the animal recognizes itself, that theoretically means the animal has a sense of self which we think of as a human ability. Porpoises and higher primates clearly understand they're seeing themselves and will spend a long time in front of a mirror just "checking themselves out." A lot of other animals will attack the mirror image thinking it's a rival. My dog and cat never showed much interest either way in a mirror while others do so I'm not sure where that leaves them.
My grand dogs would ask the question "Are THEY adopted?"

We have a bathroom with a counter to ceiling mirror over the vanity (which is in an alcove) and side mirrors on either side. Our 1 year old Abby jumped up on the counter for the first time last night and appeared extremely surprised to find other cats staring at her from all sides and put a tentative paw on the mirror to see if she could touch them. Receiving exactly the same response from the “other cat”, she ignored it after a minute or so. What does that mean? No idea. Could be she’s self aware, just got bored, or recognized it was an unsolvable riddle, not worthy of her time. I often wonder what’s going on in that little brain...😈
Question, what was the last thing a dog licked before kissing your face?????
