and a wonderful tribute to a wonderful lady!
Thanks Tim Glad you enjoyed.
I lost my Mother last year in march an think of her everyday. She was 94.She worked her whole life and raised 9 of us. She loved to travel an did so until her 80s . two pictures ;one taken in 2002 on a cruise at the age of 76 and the second at the age of 88.
Mom is 95 now and slowing down with mild dementia, but what a life!
She claims she has earned every wrinkle, regrets nothing except what she didn't do! That's June. She's my hero!
When her Dad wouldn't teach her to drive in high school she went out and got a job at the local airport and traded for flying lessons

This is my beautiful Mom, Doris Emily, and chubby me taken on the farm in 1951. Mom had a hard life as a dairy farmer's wife, but was always there for the family and instilled independence in the 8 kids. The dog is Rusty Nucks because I could't pronounce Rusty Nuts.
I love this image. Your mom was very attractive and seemed to be cheerful and not beat down but what was obvivously a difficult life. And how can you do better than "Rusty Nucks"?

Thank you RodeoMan. She was a special woman and outlived 3 husbands. Even in her 80's she was still picking up men with some doozies of lines. As an example: I would take her to her local WalMart, give her money to treat herself to their cafeteria lunch. She would wait until an attractive man (she could care less about age) would get in line then she would hustle, as fast as she could with her walker, to get in line behind said target. Mom would then proceed to use the line "oh, I love your shirt DID YOUR WIFE BUY IT FOR YOU?" I can't count the times my Mom got to pocket the money and have the gentleman pick up her tab. She was quite a pistol and I am sure she is having fun in heaven with her friends. This is the last portrait I took of her in 2016 at 90 years of age. We lost Mom in 2019.

Still beautiful after all those years. Thanks for sharing those images. You clearly show why it is important to take and keep photographs of our family, friends and our life experiences. I would also add, we should label these images for posterity.
