I love my new light box

However you don't need a light box or soft box to do this, what I did was went to my local dollar store and bought a package of multi color tissue paper, you know the kind you get as a gift in a bag sometimes, This one was a lime green, came with blues, greens, pinks, purple and so on, they all make great backgrounds and is very cheap to make.
I wad it up (you don't have to do this) crinkled it up then tapped it to a piece of cardboard, shine a light on the paper (I used a 100 watt bulb), then take a little pocket LED flashlight and shined it on the flower itself.
You can also use a diffused flash turned down very low like about 1/16. (I like to use a off camera flash)
The lens used here was a old Tamron adapt-all 90mm 2.8 macro lens I gave $30 for it on e-bay, the adapter cost me $20 so I could mount it on my Sony a7rII. it was shot @ f/8 tripod mounted.
After making a few Raw file adjustments in Luminar 4 I added some texture, you can do this in several programs like Topaz or Luminar or you can download a free digital painting program and paint it on, I love doing this.
