When you read/hear something that runs 'against the stream', you might want to do a little research to confirm it is actually true before repeating? Seems like a good idea to me.

What is the source? What are their credentials? (Are they believable or being political?)

I made it very clear that I had no idea of the accuracy of that part of my statement. I put it out there merely as a possibility. If you or anyone else is fool enough to take it as fact and run with it, I don't consider that to be my problem. But, to make you happy I just did a quick Google search. Same as you or anyone else who is curious about my statement could do. You stated that I should have done more research after reading such a statement. Do I need to point out that the same is true for you after reading my posting if it concerned you that much? I didn't do it before because it is not really of interest to me.

I ordered an item from B&H over a week ago, and have heard nothing about its’ delivery.
No problem, I understand and know from experience that B&H will deliver.

Maybe you should follow up. I ordered a lens over the weekend and it will be delivered today. It didn't get shipped until Tues which was not a surprise since I figured they were working short or very busy and working short. The lens is coming from NY to Oregon.

Thanks to all who expressed affection for B&H and respect for our furloughed workers. For the record, we closed our retail store on March 16th. It remains closed and we do not now have firm plans about reopening, although we're all eager to do so. Our offices are one block north of the store. Almost every office person has been working from home since mid-March, as I am right now. Our warehouse is in Florence NJ. It remains operational although we have taken, and continue to take, every possible step to insure worker health and safety. This includes closing Sundays for thorough cleaning and sterilization, increased social distance rules, etc. Quite a few office workers have volunteered to man an overnight shift there to clear our Passover backlog and get as many orders out to customers each day as possible.

Kmgw9v - I can check your order but I need the order number to do so.

Best of Luck. I placed an order to B&H. A bit of a delay but all was received in a fairly timely manner. Thanks.

I ordered some PolarPro filters, and it took an extra week to get here...but they did.
Their storefront is closed... but they are still working diligently behind the scenes...
Supply is a different animal out of their control... that problem is still ongoing.

And, did you listen to the full commentary of Gov. Cuomo? He said the over 51 year olds were primarily stay-at-home people who may have been exposed to others (visitors?). So, the safe thing to do was wear masks, use hand sanitizer, use social distancing. Outsiders coming into your home may be bringing the virus to you.

This seems completely consistent to what Andrew Cuomo has been saying before this. Protect yourself and your home. Wear masks in public. Hand sanitizer (or disposable gloves). Social distancing. - I have to buy some more groceries today. I will be doing all of this. And, no one has entered our home other than us since the stay-at-home order came into effect. Even delivery boxes are sprayed with sanitizer before opening them several days later.

We are all impacted. - Be safe.

Why is it that so many supposedly "educated" people have adopted the word "impact" to mean affect. We have become a generation of ubiquitously, uneducated, grammatical, morons.

I wonder if Sears felt the same way???

I was employed by Sears as a Management Trainee right out of college in 1973. At that time Sears was "unsinkable." However, the government intervened so much on operations with affirmative action, and other programs, that many of the young management left because we knew our careers were in jeopardy. I left after three years that I totally loved. The top management were no longer "Merchants", but were bean counters. So here we are today, and Sears will soon be history. It should be a lesson, a merchant has to be a merchant, sales can hide all weaknesses, and governments should stay out of the way of the businesses that pay their taxes and hence their salaries. B&H seems to understand that it is a merchant first!

When this is all over, and someone says he's "going to the store," he will mean Walmart. I fear so many stores will close that Walmart will become even more powerful.

I, Too, Have dealt with B&H for years, and not just for my cameras. I recently had an Apple watch that just was not accurate. They took it back and refunded my money after my having it a bit over 3 weeks. If I needed anything now, I would order at B&H and just wait for the delivery.Deliveries are slow all over due to incresed on line ordering

I have NEVER used any of B&H's brick and mortar stores. I have used B&H for mail-in (back in the day) and internet orders. Never had a problem. I think we all have gotten used to order deliveries going from days to weeks. It's the new normal. Be patient and give all these fine photo stores our support by ordering as usual except now on-line.

Cheers, Al
