What lens were you using?

Hi,
Canon, 24-105 lens
Canon 6D camera
For example #7 the white rose. It was shot at 1/500 of a sec. f-16 80mm lens setting ISO 800
For me white has always been a hard color for me to photograph. Usually it gets washed out. I was
pretty happy with this one. I have been taking photos for some time now but still consider myself a rookie.
Take care and thanks for viewing.

I am not the greatest fan of monochrome, but #2 takes the cake!

Wow, that made my day. Thank you. :)
Once in awhile I get lucky. This day was one of those days.

Lovely photos.

I didn’t know that Portland was known for that!

They do not call it the "Rose City" for nothing... Another Good place to see the Roses is Ladd's Circle. While not as large, It is still a place of beauty.

It sounds like you know the Portland area. I was born and raised in the Laurelhurst neighborhood. Also spent a lot of time in the Grant and Alameda areas. A friend of mines family owned Ladd's Meat Market. St. Ignatius is
church is in the heart of Ladd's Edition. My wife and I were married there a lifetime ago. :)
I know the area well. It's a booming area. (pre COVID-19).

Portland is known as "The City Of Roses". It has a international rose test garden. With 10,000 bushes and over 650 varieties of roses. Here is just a sample. Enjoy in download.

Downloads are delicious! The colors, textures, the odd bug are what I luv about these images.

Thanx for sharing!

Thank you. It was a fun day to kick back and enjoy the day.
I noticed where you live. That is a great area. Lots of photo ops. I have family not far from you. I visit there often.

While I wasn't born in Portland, (Reno, Nevada) I have lived here since 1984 (36 years). Portland is a Great City to live and work in. And it is easy to get to the mountains or to the Ocean and points in between. There are so many great things to do and places to visit in the city, IE: Japanese Garden, OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) and not to forget the Portland Zoo. We that live in the city sometimes forget just what there is that can be done and seen right here in this wonderful city of ours.

It Is a nice town. Around my area (Seattle) there are also many, many things to do and photograph.

The military left me in Tacoma in 1994, so we bought a house and stuck around. We currently live in a rural setting surrounded by trees and wildlife-I endeavor to photograph what I can. This Red-Breasted Sap Sucker was photographed less than 50 feet for by back porch. She ( I think it is a female- no crest of red feathers) hangs out on this tree everyday. Will try some better shots soon although I do not wish to disturb her sap sucking.

Great photo. I'm not far from the Milwaukie area. Live in Happy Valley. I've lived in the Portland area all my life. Have seen many changes over the years.

Does the Plymouth34 indicate a car you own?

Well, I did own the attached Plymouth. I built it several years ago originally as a show car then a driver.
Last summer I replaced it with the Corvette. Once a car guy, always a car guy.
