And it is easy to get to the mountains or to the Ocean and points in between. There are so many great things to do and places to visit in the city, IE: Japanese Garden, OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) and not to forget the Portland Zoo. We that live in the city sometimes forget just what there is that can be done and seen right here in this wonderful city of ours.

It Is a nice town. Around my area (Seattle) there are also many, many things to do and photograph.
The military left me in Tacoma in 1994, so we bought a house and stuck around. We currently live in a rural setting surrounded by trees and wildlife-I endeavor to photograph what I can. This Red-Breasted Sap Sucker was photographed less than 50 feet for by back porch. She ( I think it is a female- no crest of red feathers) hangs out on this tree everyday. Will try some better shots soon although I do not wish to disturb her sap sucking.
