Don't you just love a marching band? I get tingles when I look at your photograph hearing the drums. The pipers are a bonus. Happy to see your music and thanks for posting.

I am glad that you enjoy Bonnie as I also love the pipes and drums. As a teenager our son was a drummer in a pipe band. He played them all; snare , tenor drum and at times the BIG Bass drum also. As my son was involved with the band, we travelled all the summers long attending the Games and events our son was involved in. Also my daughter was a highland dancer. We would often tent in a campground , often waking in the middle of the night hearing a piper playing a good night tune on his pipes. Today, our granddaughter is a highland dancer and so we still attend highland Games and dancing competitions. The pipes keep calling us!
Thank you for your comments.

My mom could play piano by ear, we had an upright piano when I was growing up.
Neat that she could do that! It's a special gift!
I was *pushed* into service to do the band-color guard shots this year (the regular guy had a medical issue), I'm not a "senior picture" kinda guy, but shoot alot of pageantry. Lucky enough I teach this group (kind've a DI-type yanno) so when it came to do the group, and me with no risers...well here ya go. Haha, I was up there with a measuring device and blue tape beforehand, and they still couldn't get it right. (LOL, as usual, at the end of things I de-hype and love 'em anyway). BTW, these kids march their little behinds off, just lost a championship show last winter by a whisker...first time they've been beat in 3 years (a bit of a relief for all concerned, really!) I have so much of this idiom that it's hard to pick and choose, but I'll put some more up...
...caught the Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps in performance a few years ago in Annapolis. Studs (and Studettes, doncha know)...download to get proper color...
...and, just for kicks, I like plastic too!
...aaaand, one *last* set, just a melange of my activity...

I was lucky enough to get to shoot two of my very favorite musicians in concert - Emmylou Harris and Richard Thompson. Emmylou was performing at the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco. The first Richard Thompson photo was in Austin Tx, and the second one in Saratoga CA. I even made some money on the second one as it was used for a CD cover photo.
These are wonderful John..Pg. 2
