Really enjoyed all three versions Linda as well as the behind the scenes views of your beautiful assistant.

I particularly like your third image. But I tend to go to the dark side. But to my eye the vase looks like it is floating. Perhaps a little darling of the base would solve that “problem “. Or it may simply be the angle that it was photographed.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Frank. "Darling" = Darkening?

Love the light and shadows in the dark one, Linda. And the pop of purple really stands out. Of course Trixie makes any photo much more stunning! Well done!

Nice examples, Linda, for showing varying ways to shoot a scene.

No it is a darling shot. Some day I will learn to proof read my entries. As you already know I hate spell check.

Give Trixie an extra ear scratch, please. I really like the black and white with the shadow. The only niggle I have with it is that the vase seems to be floating in space. Is there some way to ground it a bit?

Thanks very much, Kathy. I will look at the original; I bet I have "natural" texture as that is a concrete floor on a balcony - or perhaps a bit of darkening and added shadow.

Interesting set, they could be used as illustrations in a book on creative lighting. I of course prefer the B&W and Trixie is a doll.
