This is part of whats left of the movie set for the motion picture "Shane' filmed in 1953. This location is off the usual beaten path of popular tourist stops in the Grand Teton NP, but worth making an effort to track down if you are in the area.

Wow! Nice photo Frank...thanks for sharing the image and history. Where is this location from Mormon Row?
This location is east/southeast of Mormon Row. Cannot recall names of roads as this was a couple years back. But I do know we went east on Antelope Flats road until it ended and then turned south for several miles. I found it, at the time, by searching for directions online.
Excellent capture. Thanks for sharing

Thank you, Frank, for the beautiful picture. We were in Jackson a few years ago and even ventured down Gros Ventre Rd. but didn't know about the location of the 'Shane Cabin' until now. Will definitely check it out if we ever go back. Thanks again....
