...on Easter Sunday I was in Huntington Beach...what you see here are Honda Groms in number one pic...but Kawasaki makes one (they call 'em "ankle biters") and two other manufacturers, at least, produce them. In the second photo you see a couple more brands. I read the details of the Grom and, haha, I recalled correctly: 124.9cc. Here's a link I found...

Like I said before, they travel together here in SoCal in packs...I dunno if they're officially "clubs" but there is obviously some communication between them, if anything just to group up at the same place at the same time to blast off. AFA the machines, I've checked 'em out fairly closely and there seems to be a variety in brands, but the *design* is very similar...uh, kinda like normal sized motorcycles? Motors are small, I recall asking and a kid told me 125cc (I mean, that's pretty dang big compared to my Honda 50 days, lol) but they buzz around pretty quickly. I don't think it's any "commercial" venture. <shrug> I think they're out having fun.
Like I said before, they travel together here in S... (show quote)

Well, chasgroh, you make a good argument for it. I'll go with it.

Thanks for the photos, chasgroh. Didn't realize you had another note here. They're neat little things. When I first hit Texas, I got a 125cc job. Rode it to Austin on I-10 to take my Boards. Had to ride in the wake of semis so I'd be pulled along in their partial vacuums. Even then, could only go around 50 mph. The good old days?

Will do, Charlie. And "Voss" is right for me.

Interesting. That seems like decent range for an electric scooter.
