from your link-

“President Trump has repeatedly said that Americans should consult with medical doctors regarding coronavirus treatment, a point that he emphasized again during yesterday’s briefing,” McEnany said in a statement. “Leave it to the media to irresponsibly take President Trump out of context and run with negative headlines.”

'nuff said - everybody have a safe and restful evening

Don't tell me about critical thinking; you haven't a clue. I didn't have to hear Dr. Birx say that heat and light and disinfectants will kill viruses, but that they hadn't been tried as treatments. They also kill cells. The video I posted shows Trump seriously suggesting introducing uv light (the danger we protect our skin and eyes from when we go to the beach or look at eclipses) into the body, or introducing disinfectant (the chemicals that come in bottles with the poison control phone number on the labels) into the body, and seriously asking a respected expert on contagious diseases if she had heard about these treatments. He is seriously stupid. And I didn't read the website I visited; I had already seen the press conference live and formed my own opinion based on what the president said. I simply grabbed the video from NBC. Google turned up many other sources, ALL THE SAME. The clip I posted showed Dr. Birx's distress and included Trump's words.

The upside is that only the stupid will implement his advice. Leaving fewer to vote for him next time.

But it was, among other things, a suggestion that his medical experts should look into the possibility of introducing uv light or really bright light into the body or of injecting disinfectant into the body. Imagine the drunk at the end of the bar making such idiotic suggestions. Then give him the nuclear launch codes.

You do know that photodynamic therapy is a real thing in medicine, don't you?
Not currently for infection, but to treat tumors and other abnormal tissue.

He seriously asked, he did not suggest.
Was it stupid? Likely.
But did he suggest? No.
Recommend? No.
Tell anyone to go out and do it? No.
Therein lies the difference between an honest reporter and, shall we say, a twister of truth.

I just have to wonder why you aren’t the president. That would fix everything.

Trump has also made unconscionably stupid comments about Covid-19; the uv light and disinfectant nonsense was one of the most egregious. If someone tells you for weeks that the pandemic has been over-hyped, that the virus will disappear "like a miracle," that we have fifteen cases that will drop to zero in a few days, that it's Obama's fault or the CDC's fault because they didn't have a huge stockpile of testing kits for a virus that was only discovered in December (the end of the third year of the Trump error), that it's no worse than the annual flu or a cold, that there are "beautiful" test kits available for everyone who wants a test, that he himself understands the situation so well that medical authorities are amazed at his natural ability, that medical staff are hoarding masks and gowns, that the media are all lying because they want him to lose in November, then wouldn't you begin at some point to detect a pattern? So he finally recommends that we trust doctors rather than him--though he continues to hog the mike--and we are supposed to say he's presidential and criticize career journalists for reporting when he reverts to type and says something completely, utterly stupid? Over 40,000 Americans have died in the last four months, yet we have to listen to Trump congratulating himself for doing such a fine job? If nothing changes, that will add up to 120,000 dead, equivalent to two Vietnams in one year. What, my friend, is wrong with you?

It will all go away like magic, but first we must find out who's fault it all is.

From time to time one encounters an anecdote describing how the scales fell from someone's eyes and they realized they had been mistaken to vote for Trump. The reason such examples are seen as newsworthy is their rarity. There have been many attempts to explain how people could support a creature like Trump. Hatred of East Coast elites and intellectuals, hatred of California alternative lifestyle bohemian types, fear of losing the idealized America of the 50's, anger at their tax money supporting idle "welfare queens," anger at Jews, Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians, outrage at abortions and gay marriage; the list goes on.

You will only make yourself desperate trying to reason with such people. They were not drawn to Trump by reason but by emotion. Nothing he has done or will do will dissuade them. Just hope that enough people vote in November and that we do not have to summon the military to remove him from the White House.

Sorry to jump into this--I forgot to reply earlier. Nowhere in Genesis did I find that Noah took eggs into the ark. Only some animals. I know that some eggs were subsequently laid, but I doubt him physically taking them on board.

I was drawn to him by logic, something that liberUHLS lack. Tell me something good that Obama did for this country and I will counter it with 10 things Trump has done.

Hang your hat with Pelosi and Ocasional-Cortex (AOC). I'm glad I won't be around if that happens.
