Too much time on my hands. Just a string attached to the ceiling with some small LED flashlights attached to a 1"x4"x4" piece of wood that has a hook on it to attach to the string. Camera on the floor and set to take a multiple exposure with a 15 sec. exposure.

Thanks. Some more about the set up. I used a Nikon D700 with a 16-35mm lens set to 20mm. The lights are about 3' above the camera. I used multiple exposure set to 3 or 5 shots each 15 seconds long. I used a lower level room in the house and blocked as much outside light as I could. Sometimes there were 2 pieces of gel over the light and sometimes I used ND gel to balance the light. I purchased a set of gels that I cut to fit what I was using. Please experiment with colored paper or tape.
