Every Year I get one day to catch a bee or two. This year was a good crop but they would not sit still. I always have to sand in the swarm. This year I was bumped a couple of times. These guys are to busy to mind me. I'm not very good at this, but I did get these shots I liked. Enjoy.

Those are bumble bees. Fairly gentle types. They will not sting unless you trap them so they can't escape.
Honey bees are also fairly gentle but they are a bit more readily annoyed. If they sting, it tears the venom sac out of their body and they die. But the venom sac keeps pumping out venom to remind the animal stung that he got stung, and at the same time it releases a pheromone that can attract other honeybees to attack.
Yellowjackets are occasionally seen on flowers. They are easily annoyed and can sting repeatedly.
Bumble bees gather in very small colonies. Honey bees can have several thousand bees in a colony. Yellowjackets nest in the ground with a couple hundred relatives.

Remember, Photo Gallery is for posting pictures.
I don't post much and am not familiar with where things go. When I look at the menu I don't see photo gallery as an option how does one get there.

There is a "Help" link at the top of the page that will help explain things. At the bottom of the page is an "All Sections" link that takes you to a list of all the sections available on UHH, you can subscribe to the sections you are interested in, Photo Gallery is one section. Another of the sections is FAQ. Many of the sections have their own rules and/or FAQ that pertain to that section at the top of the sections first page.
Got it, good for next time. Thanks
