Perhaps the only safe thing left to do to get out of the house is to tour the local marsh/wildlife area. I do capture one or two varieties on each drive-around and am thankful for that. Maybe I am even more appreciative of the individual birds--I am glad to see even the very common ones.

Very nice set of images Katydid

I think that snipe is one of the ones that got away the night I stood out all night with a bag, holding it and whistling. Ah Boy Scouts were just full of initiations weren't they?

Oh My!!! Those are all beautiful shots -- every one. I am impressed with the blue eyes of the cormorants. We went to Antarctica last year and they have a close relative of the cormorant that nests there called the Antarctic Shag. It has those blue eyes also.

Love the Snipe....we call em WoodCocks here on the East coast and TimberDoodles elsewhere in some Wetern ranges....they ake a funny whistling noise when they pop-up from the marsh. Cool.

Good work, Katy. Good fortune smiled on you with the number of birds you had for subjects.

It must have flown a long way. Glad it got away, though.
