Climate change and virus...

The one thing you haven't considered is with around 1% of the world population (based of death rates I have seen, and not proven) there will be fewer humans to produce pollution after the gases from cremations are over. Don't know where everything will go but gives something to consider and research while stuck at home.
Bill
You are correct as I did not mention that.
Your comment made me think as where and who will be the real victims?
Where does not matter but whom does.
Some countries maybe wiped out but the upper class. I am thinking of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh that have a huge population and very little if any sanitation as simple as running water let alone an indoor bathroom. Then there are the African countries that have be somewhat spared at the moment but are usually one epidemic event behind the rest of the world (they are still dealing with AIDS, HIV)...
It's just Mother Earth adjusting by getting rid of as many humans as possible so the She can breathe. Hey, my theory is as good as most I've read on here today! Lol

I agree, with over 6 billion people on a planet that can only support 2-3 billion something has to give.
Don't worry, we will make up for it when we go to war with China, I can feel that in my bones also. Not that I am advocating it in any fashion but I have a feeling that this may be coming and there will be plenty of particulates added to the atmosphere when that occurs.
Clouds passing over the sun? How odd

We see less pollution in major cities and the skies according to the data presented. All good and fine but...
I get the sinking feeling that this virus is not going to help at all. While the skies appear bluer already the real pollution is way high in the air and this is what causes the green house effect. This has not gone away.
The in between pollution (surface/high altitude) has been reduced. This has a side effect, the sun heat dispersed by the air pollution is now straight onto the surface with the potential or creating a surge of temperature. Everything will be warmer everywhere precipitating and ecological disaster faster then anticipated. If water get warmer, storms will be stronger, evaporation will be faster, feeding into the storm system. Ice/snow will also melt faster leaving areas with less water than ever before.
Think of it as being on a beach and you use an umbrella for protection. You feel slightly cooler but the environment will still keep you warm. The umbrella also cuts on rays that are unhealthy. Remove the umbrella and now you are fully exposed to the sun by the time it took you to remove the umbrella.
Now consider clouds passing over the sun. The temperatures drops almost immediately as the umbrella effect affects everything that surrounds you.
The mid-air pollution acts as a dampener against direct sun ray as the light/energy is reflected and trapped in the higher layer. Remove the mid-air pollution and we remove the dampener and 'shield'. We now have more light and energy hitting the ground.
I am well aware that I am not a scientist and likely just an idiot that now has too much time on his hand but... Logic and observation seem to converge.
So... (the virus stuff)
This means that the virus will have 'screwed' with us at three levels... Health, economy and environment... On the other hand less surface and mid air pollution means less difficulties to breathe...
I have no scientific data to support this opinion and it is just a stray thought about what can happen.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

Was the Spanish Flu (oooh, is that a slur on Spaniards...hahaha)...killed about 250,000 in 1918. Was that climate change? Warming??
I have heard people in Asia attribute earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, et al. to climate change. All nonsense.
As i always say, the earth is warming and it has been for 11,000 years. We're on our way to another ice age AFTER we heat a warming maximum. Cycle has repeated itself several times over the history of the earth. Man has not influenced that cycle in the past. Regardless of what we do, the earth will heat, cool, some animals and plants will go extinct, some new ones will come along. All the data is there in fossils, sediment core samples and ice core samples. Useless to try to explain this to some.
Whether we slow the warming by days, months or years makes no difference, it will happen anyway. Same with cooling.

Viruses can exist (I didn't say live because they are not alive) for up to two years in a frozen state but dissipate in hours in a warm humid condition.
Then why do they speak of live virus, and dead virus?

Hope you are wrong. Why do you think this?

The "Spanish Flu" was called that because it was during WWI. All the combatant countries were under some form of censorship to protect their soldiers so the flu was not reported. Spain was a neutral country, so it reported freely. Since it was reported first in Spain, it became the "Spanish Flu".

But originated in... China and propagated to Europe by a US division that was transferred to the western front... Then it went global due to the international nature of the war,

China is exploiting the virus, they are using it to try and broaden their influence. I am of the opinion that had China sufficiently warned the world of the full implications of the virus that the world would have better responded to the threat. Make no mistake, China plans on displacing the US as the world's leading influencer and they control much of the world's production capacity, in my opinion there will come a time that they will use availability of product, both essential and non-essential to harm American society both economically and socially, when that time comes the US will react.
Pearl Harbor was not about the Japanese wanting to take over the world, it was about the US cutting off their energy supplies.

Wow! you are going too deep for some folks here...
(By the way it was about 'natural' rubber - or caoutchouc -, not oil supply)
Rubber created with oil is a recent invention compared to tree rubber. It is one significant 'progress' made during WWII, replacing this natural product with an oil compound. Then came 'oil made plastic' that replaced Bakelite made of fiber and resin. Why the change? Bakelite replaced wood, harder less susceptible to humidity and heat*.

It started long before that - long before Obama.
