It's cold and raining here today so playing indoors where I'm safe from the you know what.
History, This picture was shot years ago pushing about 20 years now, it was shot with a Nikon D50, I shot Minolta back in the film days so when Sony came out with the Sony a100 I had to have one just because all my old Minolta lenses would fit and I had a few of them (understatement) I've been with Sony from then on and still shoot my old Minolta glass today.
This picture was shot in a old rail yard in Bellmead, Texas, for you that don't know SP stands for it stands for Southern Pacific Railway.
Back to the picture Today's software is getting amazing I use Luminar 4 and had much fun with this old picture
using dodge and burn tool, adding grunge, tone adjustments and completely replacing the sky (so easy to do in luminar) Split Color adjustments so on and so on.

Very dramatic image. Looks like the train is going to knock my tripod over.
I like your post production work on this one. I studied it for some time to decide how much I liked it. Your use of different filters created a somewhat HDR look but without the telltale signs of harsh edginess and sometime garish color.
Very nice👏
Interesting processing--dramatic.
Great memory....I sure miss Southern Pacific....( I worked for SP in the roundhouse as a pipe-fitter) in the late 70s...I did glorified lube jobs, and anything to do with pipes...NOTHING else....strong UNION...lol Thanks for posting!

Nice shot, but I thought this was a "close up" section. Here is what the term "close up" is defined as in the section instructions. "Definition: Close-up Photography tightly frames a subject rather than including a broader scene. The background is often out of focus and not distracting. Unlike Macro Photography, which is usually 1:1 magnification and often requires special equipment, close-ups are less restrictive and can be accomplished with any camera and lens." There are many other sections for general photography. It would be nice to see this one reserved for actual close-up shots.
Absolutely stunning image..!
