Save yourself some typing and use the <quote reply> link below every post to respond to specific prior post. Then, visit the the support section of the Nikon website for downloadable manuals. Most of the legacy products that have manuals available in PDF can be found there. Just navigate the product trees or use that site's search bar.

Hello,
I would like this manual as I have just got one from Ebay for what I would call a fair price.

Thanks

Thank you for looking at this post.

I have just got a Nikon 70~210mm F4 from Ebay UK (as I live near Liverpool). This has more than likely been asked before, but here goes. I am after instructions for this lens.

If you need any of below let me know?
1, I have English instructions for a Zoom-Nikkor 35-105 f/3.5~4.5.

2, I have a Photograph of Nikon Series E 50mm f/1.8

3, I have a Photograph of AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-85 f/3.5-4.5

We I have more information, but J will wait to see what replies I get to this, my first message 31st March 2020 from The Wirral in the UK.

Bye from me
Brian

First download the Manual Viewer ( https://www.nikon.com.mt/en_MT/product/apps_software/manual-viewer-2 ) for your platform of choice. Then, you can download manuals for specific products.

You're gonna love it.

Hello WJShaheen,
The only one I could see there was the 4-56, whilst I would like the F4 (non E type).

But thanks for the contact.

I have the Nikon 300 F4 D. I purchased it last Summer for more reach shooting my local American Legion Baseball team. I usually shoot in Aperture Priority so I use F4 when using this lens. Aperture ring is left on f32 and camera is set to f2. Confuses me but works.

Hello davidrb,

Just went online to the link you sent me and paid for it, It came quite quickly but is the wrong one. The one they sent is for the AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-210 f/4-5.6 and not only that page two was in French. Sent them a email about the wrong one. Holding on to see what they can do.

Thank you for your help though.

Brian;
Essentialy, there are two important things you need to know: First, there should be a small button or switch near the bottom of the lens...not on the mounting surfaces. That button should be moved so it is next to a small red dot on the lens barrel. Next, the lens needs to be stopped down to its smallest aperture (largest F/number , like 22 or 32. That will allow AF to function. Then, mount your lens on the camera, be sure everything is on properly...lens lock clicks, etc., then go shoot! Enjoy your "new" lens!
