I was looking to take some ground-level images of flowers and bees so I hung my camera upside down from my tripod and lowered it to just above the ground. I used the flip screen to focus and a remote to activate the shutter. It was much better than laying my old body on the damp ground!

Nicely done Ken

Nice ones, Ken. I’m not generally much of a tripod user, but perhaps you've solved my problem of getting up after lying down to shoot something.

Great shots. When you get a certain age, it is more difficult to get up from the ground, than getting to the ground. I rarely use my tripod, but your method worked for you. And, others, if they can remember it.

Good tips for getting the perspective but I'm wondering about the lens used and the resultant shallow DOF.

Thats the way to do it!!! I know exactly what you mean, getting up and down gets tougher as we get older (especially to lay prone), and wet (don't forget muddy, I get that a lot too). Good job, enjoyed them.

Excellent images taken with a world-class camera. Good technique too and I can surely relate to getting up and down as well as soggy ground.

Is it my eyes, none of these are in focus?

They were shot with a macro lens so the depth of field is very narrow. Thanks for commenting, WessoJPEG.
