This link, discovered by my wife (thank you, Susan) is to a concert, recorded in 2002 by military bands from 11 countries worlwide. It is a rendition of "Unchained Melody" made famous in 1965 by Bobby Hatfield of 'The righteous Brothers'. Some of you who are as old as I am may remember dancing to it at the prom or some other romantic venue. I first heard it while home on leave prior to my all expense paid trip to Vietnam which was organized and paid for by my rich Uncle Sam.

The horn solo at the beginning is as pure and soul stirring as any piece of instrumental music that I have ever heard. Please listen, and after, imagine what went in to orchestrating the piece for musicians who spoke 11 different languages. Further down the page is an identification of the different bands by a description of their uniforms.
