Truck drivers - more unsung heroes of the coronavirus pandemic

Crissy Becker, a truck driver, is just one of the many essential workers who continue to ply their work during this coronavirus crisis, putting their lives at risk, "so y'all get what you need." Unfortunately, they are largely unrecognized, under appreciated, and worst, disrespected. The others include, the grocery workers, garbageman, mailman, etc.

From the original article, here's a few words from Crissy: "I'm a mom," she writes. "Instead of going home, I stayed out driving my truck sometimes 24 hours at a time, lately six weeks. So y'all got what you need. And there are hundreds of thousands more like me but instead of going home are running until we can't see straight in our tracks."

Next time you see one on the road, give him/her a special shout out.

Let's not forget the railroaders. They are the backbone of the country when it comes to moving goods. That is why railroads have never been allowed to strike. If they were to shut down the country would be paralysed in one day.

This seems to be the workings of someone who mutilated their brain. No many are as sorry as a brain-dead fool. Chrissie, keep on truckin'.

I concur, what a low-class comment to make.

So it's okay on UHH to express your feelings only if they flatter the subject?

DaleBrown: Thanks for your remarks. Whether one is a proponent or not of Tattoos, they should generally not comment on what personal decisions others might make. Your remarks quite succinctly communicated your, and those of many, feelings regarding personal or individual rights and freedoms.

I was concurring with DaleBrown when I wrote “ I concur, what a low-class comment to make.”

Under the 1st amendment, everyone has the right to be a verbal butt-head.
I just felt that to personally attack a person’s appearance is a low-class thing to do.
What I was hoping for was for admin to objectively review the comment.
Then decide if it belonged in the light of day or should be placed it in the attic.
Where do you think such comments belong?

I personally don’t like tats on a women, but what she does with her body is really none our business. She gives up a lot doing her job, and recognizing her sacrifices, and contributions to the needs of all of us.

Thanks for doing an essential job. BUT, it looks like a selfie taken while moving, and her eyes are not on the road! She also admits to driving till she can't see straight. Hero? No way. Hazardous driver? You-betcha!
