But having fun anyway, 80% chance of rain thru the weekend.
I have been asked about this lens from a few on here including Linda, so here it is.
This is a modified Helios 44m-4 58mm F/2, the 44m-4 is my favorite of all the Helios, what I did was reverse
the front lens, it takes a tool or two to get it done but it's somewhat easy to do, there are you-tube video's to show one how it's done if your interested.
it will be very soft around f/2 it will get sharper around f/4 or so, by f/8 it is sharp but only in the center, edges
and corners will not be sharp. If you like soft focus this is hard to beat. most all I have been shooting is around f/2.8
I'm going to have a lot of fun with this lens in days to come.
Thanks for Looking!!!!
Johnny
.
Nice work. Very inventive.

What did you consider about radiation situation in opening and reversing lens? I have a Helios that I don't use though I like because of the radiation. I love your photos. Just beautiful.
And we haven't had any rain in many weeks! Nice shots Johnny!

Sandy, Thank you very much, Never thought twice about, wore rubber gloves, what little if any radiation over the years, you would have to do 100,0000 of them to have any harm at all, I wish I could tell you how many X-Rays I have had over the years, I lost count years and years ago.
Put that old lens to use. somebody like you would love it!!!!
