Abbreviation: UH vs. UHH
I noticed something about the Ugly Hedgehog abbreviations used on the forum.
While hedgehog is one word (a least according to
wikipedia) and the abbreviation should be UH, plenty of people seem to be using UHH.
I would like to establish one "official" abbreviation for contest titles and whatever else we might have in the future.
So what's the general opinion? UH or UHH?

The precise form should probably be "UH", the only drawback to that is the use of 'uh...' as a syntactical component, such as in the form 'uh..what did you expect it to look like", whereas the capitalized abbreviation "UHH" leaves no confusion. This is one of those rare cases where usage may trump M-W correctness.

I use UHH only because I read UH as "uh?"

Good point, MWAC...me, too!
I think reading in context would solve that easily enough.
Use UHH because UH sounds like a college name.
But normally, it would be in lower case.

I thought about that, then remembered the sizable minority of users who TYPE IN ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME...
Mr Admin.
Make YOUR decision! The group will never be 100% in agreement, either way you go.
