Not very professional? Where is your version of this and when was the last time you did some High Def - High Speed Camera work?
It is plain this is a quickly edited "Gee Look What I Managed to Do" short subject. And the images are actually very good with great detail, esp considering it was hazy and rainy while working off a tripod on the beach.

I was referring to the lack of slow motion action of the aircraft instead of video time of him.

I think he did an outstanding job on every aspect of the video - congrats on a job well done.

Then you should have said that. I saw a lot of slow motion aircraft. Or did you want wide angle shots of the maneuvers in slow motion?
What I didn't like was him talking so much and bragging about getting the shots. I would rather just see the video of the planes.
[quote=AirWalter]Thought some of you would be interested in the equipment used. This guy isn't very professional or this video
would have been much better.
I disagree.
Truly enjoyed seeing these aircraft in super slow motion. I've been in the A/C field for 60 years and participated in most of the national and international airshows but saw some things I'd never seen before. Just great to watch!!!
Great video all around. Enjoyed watching the aircraft in a way we are not used to seeing them. Had no problem with his explanation of what he was doing.
This is only the second time since I've been on the UHH that I've done something like this but...
Everyone has a camera and knows how to "use" it. There are a few who actually know how to use their gear and get something besides snapshot. Those with talent endure the critiques of those who know how the image "should" be. Maybe more the the critics should get out and shoot he guy who shot the plane did a really good job. Capturing high speed jets takes real know how. If you doubt it just try capturing eagles and hawks on the dive. This video was a quick edit, pretty much right out of the camera and taken on a cloudy and dull day. For what he had to work with this was excellent. A more careful edit with the bells and whistles would hae dress ed this up, but that was not the intent. There is noting wrong with the actual images. Give the photographer his due.
Now I'll go away quietly...

Hate to tell you this BUT this is a great video considering the length of the telephoto lens and stabilization required. I trust you've never undertaken a similar project!?

Wow ....thats really awesome camera gear. Thank you.
Tell you what, Mr. Air Walter..... Why don't you kick this "unprofessional" guy to the curb, and let's see if you can do better..... I THINK NOT!

Totally agree! Great job! Hope I can get some shots as good this next weekend at an upcoming airshow!

Well, at least one person saw what I was talking about concerning the video. For the rest of you, I - - will - - talk - - slower - - the - - next - - time.

Was that slow enough and loud enough for you? Professionals aren't supposed to talk. I have known a few who could talk your ears off just thinking outloud.
